About me

My name is Sia and I am a 500hr yoga teacher. I first became a certified yoga instructor in 2020 but have been practicing yoga since 2007. As a nature-lover, I especially love practicing yoga outside. I believe in a life free of judgments and filled with bliss and recognition. These feelings guide me in my teaching and practices.

My focus is to help my students be in harmony with themselves and their environment and to accept themselves as they are. Book a class and start living a healthier lifestyle today.

Yoga for Sustainability

Do one good deed for the environment / sustainability, get one yoga lesson for free! How does it work?
You start by doing a good deed! This can be anything related to sustainability and / or the environment! Next, write to me and describe shortly what your good deed was. You are very encouraged to send me a pic of the good deed, which, if you wish, can be uploaded on my website. Choose from the type of yoga you would like to practice with me (availabilities: vinyasa, hatha, yin yoga) and the class duration (availabilities: 30 min, 45min, 60min). Possible categories for your good deeds are listed below.

  1. Reuse, Recycle, Reduce, Refuse
  2. Recycled properly
  3. Reduce Food Waste
  4. Save water
  5. Save energy
  6. Borrow instead of buying
  7. Green activity in daily activities
  8. Plant a tree

Arrange day and time for your yoga class (see my availability in the calendar below). You will receive an online link for your yoga class from me. Welcome to your yoga practice!

“Step outside for a while – calm your mind. It is better to hug a tree than to bang your head against a wall continually.”

– Rasheed Ogunlaru, Life Coach, Speaker, Author from the United Kingdom

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a passive style of yoga that concentrates on the joints and the fascia, rather than the muscles (for this, yin yoga is usually practiced when the muscles are cold, not stretched, so that the asanas can reach the deeper tissue of the body). Poses are usually held longer than in other yoga styles, somewhere between 2 to 8min. This enables a deeper stretch of the joints.

Principles of Yin Yoga

1. Come into the pose and find your depth

2. Find your edge

3. Hold still
